Celebration of Mind @ MathsWorld Lates

A Celebration of Mind Event with three amazing mathematical speakers alongside the chance to explore MathsWorld's hands-on exhibits!

This event takes place on Wednesday the 21st of October and is the eleventh of MathsWorld London's year long programme of monthly evening talks and events.

To celebrate mathematician Martin Gardner's Birthday, join us and three of our favourite mathematicians for an hour of talks spanning the length and breadth of mathematics.

Do numbers have personalities?

What was the most popular Birthday on the Titanic?

How do church bells ring in such mesmerizing patterns?

Find out all this and more with our expert speakers Merry Martyn, Ashleigh Ratcliffe, and Matt Peperell.

Visitors will have the opportunity to arrive from 18.15 to explore the ground floor of MathsWorld before entry to the upstairs talk area opens at 18:50. The talks will begin at approximately 19:00, lasting approximately until 20:00, with the centre closing its doors at 21:00.
