Shakespeare Week: The Maths of Shakespeare's London

Talks will take place on both Saturday and Sunday at 11.45 - 12.15 and 13.45 - 14.15.

This Shakespeare Week join "Much Ado About Numbers" author Rob Eastaway as he explores the maths of Shakespeare's London. MathsWorld London sits a stone’s throw from Bankside, which was a hotspot for theatres, gambling and trade in Shakespeare’s time. In this fascinating historical talk, author Rob Eastaway explores the mathematical ideas that were emerging in Shakespeare’s world, from astronomy and probability to the number system itself.

This talk is included in entry to MathsWorld, however spaces are limited and free tickets will be available on the door on the day, and is suitable for ages 10+.
